New Mexican joint Arriba Grill opens in Lutwyche
Mexican food fever is showing no signs of relenting in Brisbane, with a new burrito joint opening in Lutwyche. Arriba Grill focuses on using certified-organic produce throughout its menu, conscious of making a takeaway food experience a healthy and tasty one.
Using a tick-a-box system across various steps in crafting your own gourmet burrito, patrons start firstly by choosing between a hot white or wheat tortilla, or a bowl for the gluten-intolerant Mexican lover. Step two offers choices between grilled chicken or beef, slow-cooked pork, vegetarian black beans or vegetables, with lime rice or non-vego pinto beans as extra stuffing. Salsas range from mild corn or tomato varieties to hot tomatillo sauce, with extra special red and green El Yucateco Salsa Picante de Chile Habanero hot sauces from Mexico on hand for those who like a burrito with extra fire. The final step is the addition of jalapeños, lettuce, cheese, sour cream or a hefty dollop of guacamole to your perfectly crafted parcel.
The fresh coriander and oregano, avocadoes, limes and iceberg lettuce used are all certified organic, along with the tomatoes used in the salsas and the olive oil for cooking. The Australian tasty cheddar cheese and sour cream are also certified organic and animal-rennet free. Northsiders can pop in to Arriba Grill’s Lutwyche store now, while southsiders will find solace in the Morningside locale opening early October.
