Zeitgeist Day GLOBAL 2017

Zeitgeist Day GLOBAL 2017

Recognised as one of the largest grassroots social movements in the world with Chapters in over 60 Countries, The Zeitgeist Movement announces its 9th annual ‘Zeitgeist Day’ (ZDay) global awareness campaign. The main event will be held in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley at the New Globe Theatre in tandem with parallel events all over the world. Previous main events have been well documented by news agencies, including the New York Times and Huffington Post, with speakers and attendees coming from all around the world to discuss the state of society and how to achieve problem resolution through science.

The 2017 symposium entitled “Towards Global Unity and Abundance” will address the most pressing social issues of our time with presentations from high profile social activists such as Peter Joseph, the founder of the Zeitgeist films and renowned public figure, as well as presentations from Federico Pistono, author of Robots Will Steal Your Job But That’s Okay futurist and international presenter, Mike Gilliland and Euvie Ivanova from The Future Thinkers podcast, Eleanor Goldfield from activist TV series Act Out and acclaimed Australian rock band, Dead Letter Circus.

This full two day event will also showcase speakers covering current understandings in the areas of: Human Values, Monetary Economics, Applied Science, Technological Unemployment and Environmental Sustainability. There will be Q & A sessions with the audience and exhibits that demonstrate applied technology to meet human need. We will be filming the event for posting later.

The Zeitgeist Movement is a global sustainability activist group working to bring the world together for the common goal of species sustainability before it is too late. Divisive notions such as nations, governments, races, political parties, religions, creeds or class are non-operational distinctions in the view of The Movement. Rather, we recognise the world as one system and the human species as a singular unit, sharing a common habitat.
