Australia’s largest Mexican restaurant franchise, Zambrero, is calling on Aussies to join the fight against world hunger by registering now to volunteer for Meal Packing Day.

The annual day, held on Friday October 20 this year, will see volunteers across Brisbane and around Australia come together to pack nutritious meals for those in need.

Working closely with international food charity Rise Against Hunger to coordinate this fun community event, the food packs compiled in Australia this year will be donated to people in need in Madagascar and East Timor.

A few hours of your time can have an incredible impact for someone overseas, so grab your friends or colleagues and join the fight against world hunger, one mission at a time.

As part of it’s everyday Plate 4 Plate initiative Zambrero donates a meal to someone in need for every burrito or bowl sold. The initiative has donated nearly 17 million meals to date and aims to reach one billion by 2025.
