The Ritchie Yorke Project will unveil a selection of Ritchie’s extensive and prized archival collection at the new Yorke Suites, located on the top floor of the Prince Consort Hotel in Fortitude Valley.

Surrounding music industry offices seems a fitting place for the inspiring musicians Ritchie wrote stories about to help their career.

Ritchie was a music journalist and author from Brisbane, whose impressive career led him to work and form solid friendships with some of the biggest acts in rock and roll – from Led Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Neil Young, John Lennon and others.

His friendship with John Lennon led to Ritchie becoming an official Peace Ambassador during John and Yoko Ono’s 1969 campaigns for peace, which included two-week bed ins in Amsterdam and Montreal.

This unique event commemorates his passing in 2017 and includes a major announcement, along with performance from special guests the Ritchie Yorke All-Stars – Sahara Beck, Ian Haug (Powderfinger), Tyrone Noonan (George), Rohin Jones (Middle East), Nik Phillips, Jamie-Lee Dimes & Bud Rokesby.
