YMCA Rat Race

YMCA Rat Race

The YMCA Rat Race is a new cheeky, cheesy and challenging annual event to be held Saturday October 8 and is designed for maximum fun and ir-RAT-ional behaviour!

Teams of four will be given a large inflatable cheese to protect and carry with them for the duration of the race and across the finish line. Dedicated ‘Pest Patrols’ will be out to run interference and attempting to ‘rescue’ the cheese – adding that extra level of RATified intensity.

This exciting seven kilometre urban adventure event will see more than 2000 competitors scamper across local landmarks, fun themed obstacles, the Brisbane River and team building activities. The race starts under the Story Bridge, runs along Kangaroo Point cliffs, over the Goodwill Bridge, through the Botanical Gardens and back along the top of the Kangaroo Point cliffs to finish in Captain Burke Park.

With more than 12 ratty obstacles including the terrifying Rat Trap and the adrenalin pumping Big Cheese, our teams are in for an amazing experience.
