World’s Best Remote Treks with Tim Macartney-Snape
For those who are interested in exploring the less trodden trails from around the world and want to learn more about introductory-style climbing, this night is for you. Hear from Tim Macartney-Snape is Australia’s best known mountaineer and the first Australian to summit Mount Everest.
Tim’s presentation is jam packed with incredible stories and imagery from the Himalaya and South America – Tim will speak about some of the best remote trekking routes and introductory mountaineering expeditions (Level 8), including the Api Himal Exploratory, stages of the Great Himalaya Trail, Tharpu Chuli, Damodar Sairbung Traverse and Bhutan Snowman Trek.
He will also touch on opportunities to climb Aconcagua in Argentina, exploratory adventures on the less trodden trails of Central Asia, as well as summiting Uganda’s highest peak in the spectacular Mountains of the Moon region.
