World of Cultures

World of Cultures

For the second year running, set within the grounds of the iconic Kingston Butter Factory, SSI’s World of Cultures is Logan City’s premier multicultural event. On Saturday August 12, enjoy incredible authentic cuisine from all around the world and a diverse and eclectic line-up of artists on a live outdoor stage featuring talented acts Julian Bel Beshir, Chris Tamwoy, Heilani Dance Group, and more. With 4EB radio live broadcasting throughout the day, this free family-friendly event will host a sizzling selection of food stalls from all corners of the globe such as finger-licking plates boasting Fijian, Eritrean, and Cambodian flavours, amongst others.

The event will have activities for everyone including a youth zone featuring a DJ Disco, plenty of performances and a poetry slam, as well as a sports zone with rock climbing, takraw and taekwondo demonstrations, inflatable warrior games, and Netball Queensland representatives. And, a dedicated kids zone including magic shows, face painting, sports activities, henna and more will keep the little ones entertained well into the night. The festivities kick off at 4:00 pm and see you sipping, snacking and settling in until 8:30 pm.
