World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil

World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil

You are invited to participate in an intrinsic part of World AIDS Day activities – the Candlelight Vigil. Held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday December 1 at Reddacliff Place, 266 George Street, Brisbane, this important event is an opportunity for us to stop and remember all those we have loved and lost since the beginning of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. This event is open to all – admission is free and bookings are not required.

World AIDS Day is held on December 1 each year. It raises awareness across the world and in the community about the issues surrounding HIV and AIDS. It is a day for people to show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. The Queensland World AIDS Day Alliance (QWADA) aims to raise awareness in the Queensland community about HIV/AIDS issues, including the need for support and understanding for people living with HIV/AIDS as well as education and prevention initiatives. The particular focus is on World AIDS Day and the week leading up to that date.
