Westfield Women in Conversation with Rosie Batty
Join Future Women and Westfield for an intimate discussion with Rosie Batty as Westfield’s Women In Conversation series heads to Westfield Carindale.
Rosie Batty knows pain no woman should have to suffer. In 2014, her 11-year-old son Luke was tragically killed by his father after a public cricket game. Rosie became an outspoken and dynamic crusader against domestic violence, which led her to be named Australian of the Year in January 2015. Since then, Rosie has made the most of her position of influence, campaigning and advocating for necessary systemic and attitudinal change, to address the family violence epidemic.
Hear from Rosie on her recent shift to focus on less public-facing advocacy work and her incredible journey of courage and determination seeming insurmountable obstacles.
The event will be hosted by Future Women’s founding director Helen McCabe. Ticket proceeds will be donated to Beyond DV.
