Damen and Herren (or ladies and gentlemen, in case you aren’t fluent in German), dust off your dirndl, strap on your lederhosen and start practicing your yodelling because Westfield Chermside is throwing one heck of a party for Oktoberfest 2017! Held over three glorious days, the free family-friendly event will transform the carpark near the food court into a German-style beer garden complete with pop-up food and beverage stalls, live entertainment, carnival rides and even a spot of Dachshund racing!

Take your tastebuds on a Euro-trip with a German hotdog loaded with all of the trimmings from The Sporting Globe. If sausages ain’t your thing, Grill’d will be dishing up pork belly burgers and if you have a hankering for some fish and chips, Beach House Bar & Grill has you covered. What about the beer we hear you ask? Well, glad you did because The Sporting Globe will be serving Fat Yaks, Grill’d will have the Stone & Woods on ice and Beach House Bar & Grill is hosting a Pimms pop-up so you can stay well hydrated.

Little ones will be in carnival heaven with free rides on The Giant Gravitron, The Giant Slide and The Giant Jumping Castle as well as side-show activities, laughing clowns and face painting. Oh, and did we mention there was dachshund racing? The running of the sausages will commence on Saturday and whilst here are no available places left to bring your pooch along, you can catch all the action from 1:00 pm!
