West Village Official Launch Party

West Village Official Launch Party

Get together with friends, family and locals to celebrate the official launch of the West Village development. On the night, an iconic heritage-listed factory will be transformed into a colourful canvas of flowing images as part of the entertainment planned for the official launch of West Village.

West Village is a landmark project designed to transform a 2.6 hectare site in West End’s evolving Boundary Street precinct into a vibrant community hub and exciting new destination for Brisbane. The new precinct will include an eclectic mix of work spaces, traders, restaurants, community open spaces and laneways, and well-designed one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

A state-of-the-art light projection show will turn the old Peters Ice Cream factory into a dynamic canvas. The original Peters Ice Cream Factory, now known as Factory One, is one of two historic buildings at the heart of the West End project which will be revitalised as part of the development.

The usual Friday night markets will be extended for the evening, an assortment of delicious street food will be on offer and a range of entertainment is set to keep the party vibes buzzing. Music acts include roots/pop band The Rooftops, indie pop artist Bree De Rome and jazz/blues duo Henry James.

On the night celebrations will continue with the opening of the West Village Vision Centre, offering project information and opportunities for the community to provide feedback. The Vision Centre will be located adjacent to the West Village lawn on Boundary Street that is currently being transformed into an inviting green public space where people can catch and chill out with friends.

Come along early to help kick off the launch party with the animated light projection show on rotation from 6 pm – 10 pm on the Boundary Street side of Factory One.

Head to the West Village website for further information on the event or connect with the West Village Facebook page for updates on the project.
