West End Fire Fest

Welcome to West End Fire Fest, Brisbane’s Fire Spinning Festival! WEFF as it’s locally known is held once a month in Orleigh Park. Organically grown since 2006 it has transformed into a free community night filled with music, fire arts and a little magic. It was created to help share the flow arts with a wider audience while growing and connecting the Brisbane flow and circus community.

The firetribe welcomes you this very extraordinary gathering. This special place is where you can meet new friends or catch up with old ones right in the heart of Brisbane City. Share and learn new techniques under the glow of the moon. Join in and create new friendships and endless possibilities with the Brisbane flow community.

Families and spectators are welcome! Discover the wonders that WEFF has to offer. Lay down a mat and bring a snack to nibble on. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show. This is a free night of entertainment with a fire spinning circle and music.

There is a lengthy love affair with the Circus arts and Orleigh Park. Let’s keep the arts alive in West End!

Fire spinners have a few rules to follow to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time – please respect the space, only five spinners at a time in the circle, no fire breathing, no kerosene, no shellight, no poi circle burn offs and please don’t burn the grass! Use the spin off jars for fire poi – save money and the environment.

Parents are asked to please keep an eye on your children at all times – this is an open public space. It is also important to wear the right clothing – natural fibres and 100% cotton is best. Please use the fuelling area provided and don’t attempt any new moves on fire at this event. Fire fuel and fire spinning gear is available for purchase on the night.
