The only thing better than birthdays is birthday parties, and the fine folk at Williams-Sonoma, Inc are well aware of this fact. To celebrate the first birthday of west elm and Pottery Barn (and Pottery Barn Kids, of course), the gang are throwing a bit of an artsy birthday party with all sorts of fun activities.

Shoppers will be in line for a range of treats, including the chance to get a free illustrated portrait of themselves from the awesome Emily Nelson – taking selfies to the next level. Because Emily is a human and not a machine, this awesome offer is on a first come, first served basis from 11:00am to 1:00 pm.

The west elm Creatives Corner is going to be a winner, with some of Brisbane’s finest creative talent going to work at a communal table to showcase their wares. The first 50 customers at Pottery Barn will also receive a free posy from Twig & Grace, with a live floral installation happening inside from 11:00 am. The Barn gang have also enlisted the help of local stylist Kara Hynes (a.k.a Lulu Lucky) to show customers how to style an Instagram-worthy bed from 2:00–3:00 pm.

They haven’t forgotten the mini-people! Pottery Barn Kids is turning it up with free face painting and balloon artistry all dang day, and special guest Clancy the Bear will be on hand to give out balloons. As a bonus, the first 50 customers to make a purchase from Pottery Barn Kids will nab a complimentary bag of ‘Brisneyland’-flavoured fairy floss created in partnership with Fluffë. So sweet!
