Weave Jam

Weave Jam

Join us for a glass of wine and and some weaving at the Weave Jam as we contribute to the One Million Stars to End Violence project.

One Million Stars to End Violence is a love and peace-filled community project. These beautiful stars are symbols of light, courage and solidarity to end all forms of violence, including violence against women, bullying and racism.

Museum of Brisbane is a Star Weave Community which means we have committed to weaving 10,000 stars by July 2017. Help us to reach our goal by visiting the Museum and relaxing in our Dome Lounge weaving a star. These stars will be featured in an installation for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Drop into the Dome Lounge anytime between 5.30pm and 8pm and contribute to the One Million Stars to End Violence project. Wind down and enjoy a glass of wine as you weave stars made from recycled ribbons to help us reach our goal of 10,000 stars.

Museum staff will be available at all times to help demonstrate the weaving technique and answer any questions. Afterwards, head into the Museum to see our beautiful award-winning exhibitions or take an after-dark Clock Tower tour.
