In news that proves that disco is definitely not dead, Velvet Rewired – a glittering spectacle of circus, cabaret and a mesmerising love-letter to disco –  is returning to Wynnum Fringe. Before heading to the Sydney Opera House on the show’s Australian tour, the Studio 54-inspired showcase is set to dazzle Brisbane locals in the Raine & Horne Wynnum Spiegletent in Manly. This sparkly stage spectacle is led by iconic pop queen Marcia Hines (Jesus Christ Superstar, HAIR) and stars Hula Boy Craig Reid (La Clique, La Soirée) and DJ Joe Accaria (Once, Dream Lover), alongside a breathtaking array of acrobats, aerialists and vocalists.

Born in Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2015 – and since performed to sold-out venues across the globe – Velvet Rewired is a guaranteed great night out. Expect to shake your groove thing to a sizzling selection of disco hits including ‘If You Could Read My Mind’, ‘Born to be Alive’, ‘Everybody Dance’, ‘It’s Raining Men’, ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’, ‘Turn the Beat Around’, ‘Disco Inferno’ and many more. What’s more, Marcia Hines has worked closely with Brisbane’s tinsel queen Rachel Burke for feature pieces to wear during official show events.
