Velvet Helmet is Brisbane’s most delicious underground cabaret. Held on the second Wednesday of each month, the line-up is a delectable mash-up of burlesque, cabaret, theatre, spoken word, circus, comedy, poetry and live music.

‘Stranger than Fiction’, is an exploration of the strange fusion when art reflects reality and then changes it. The creation and suspension of belief. The immersion that occurs when art happens and it gets real.

Our hostess, Marianna Joslin, is back fresh from sell-out tours of the Adelaide Fringe and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. She is joined by Janey Clash (burlesque beauty), Genevieve Butler (inside the internet, you can be anyone), Torrey Atkin (sharp focus spoken word), MisFits (circus celebs from 3 generations)and Thomas Albert (cabaret darling).
