On Saturday April 14, celebrate Brisbane’s melting pot of culture at the Valley Multicultural Festival in Chinatown Mall. From 5:00–10:00 pm, the Valley will offer a smorgasbord of live entertainment, dance and musical performances from an incredibly diverse array of countries including Korea, Africa, South America, India, Japan and Australia.

This year, the event will have a special youth focus and will be held at the end of Youth Week, which will run from April 6–15. The must-see festival will be hosted by Dr Rhythm aka Jonny Drama, who you may recognise from Australia’s Got Talent 2008 as well as his work with the ABC and Channel [V]. Other highlights include an African Fire and dance show by Fire Fiesta, a Singjay-style musical performance by SK Simeon, Japanese drumming by Toko Ton and KPOP, hiphop and Bollywood dance performances by Utopia Dance Crew. There will also be a musical performance by Matt Hsu.
