Ursula Dubosarsky: Writing for children – adult workshop
Join Ursula in an exploration of writing for children, including several practical exercises from Ursula’s own writing experience for starting stories, keeping them going and breaking open the creative part of your brain.
Ursula Dubosarsky wanted to be a writer from the age of six, and is now the author of over 60 books for children and young adults, which have won several national prizes, including the New South Wales, Victorian, South Australian and Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards. She has also been nominated several times for the prestigious international children’s literature prizes, the Astrid Lindgren award and the Hands Christian Andersen award. Apart from fiction and picture books such as Too Many Elephants in This House, she has also written non-fiction Word Spy books about the English language. For 2020-2021, Ursula has been awarded the position of Australian Children’s Laureate and is encouraging children to join their local library and read for their life!
