UQ’s community garden and all abilities playground is finally complete! To launch the two new projects the University is hosting a community gathering on Saturday November 30 from 8:00–10:00 am. The morning will include a number of sustainability workshops and family friendly activities at the community garden site and will provide live music, face painting, food trucks and hula hoop workshops at the new playground location.

Join us for a fun, relaxed outing with friends and family and discover how you can get the best out of each space. Become a part of the garden community or discover the unique and inclusive features of the all abilities playground. UQ representatives will be there on the day to answer all your questions and show you around each of the new sites.

Please note: You can easily walk between the community garden and the playground on the day. The community garden is located on the corner of Sir Fred Schonell Drive and Sir William MacGregor Drive (on the roundabout) and the playground is approximately 500 metres down the road on Sir William McGregor Drive opposite the UQ Sport basketball courts.
