The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane

Dig out those running shoes and start your stretches – The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane is back in Brisness on Sunday September 8.

Returning for its 28th year, Brisbane’s biggest running and community event will once again welcome more than 30,000 participants pounding the pavement for a good cause – raising money for Queensland charities and community organisations.

Whether you’re in the mood for a fitness challenge or a laid-back Sunday stroll, Bridge to Brisbane’s courses are suitable for all ages and abilities. Take on the iconic Gateway Bridge and power through Eagle Farm on the 10-km course or wind your way along Kingsford Smith Drive for the leisurely 5-km. Both races conclude at the Brisbane Showgrounds where you can join the festivities at the Finish Village.

Bridge to Brisbane wants 2024 to be even bigger and better than last year’s spectacular showing, which raised a record-breaking $1.22 million for more than 300 local charities. The 2023 also sold out completely in advance, so you might want to rattle your dags and register early to secure your spot on the starting line.

Registrations open for The Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane at 12:01 am on Sunday April 21.

All entrants receive a race number, a finisher’s medal and certificate, their race time, free public transport to and from the event and of course a commemorative race t-shirt – this year’s race shirt promises a return to high-tech performance fabric and a bright blue colour to match the event’s bold new look.

Whether you want to push your limits with Transurban’s #BeatTheBridge challenge, strut your stuff in the Best Dressed competition, or gather some mates for a cause close to your heart, Bridge to Brisbane promises a colourful, entertainment-packed course.

On your marks, get set, go … to the Bridge to Brisbane website to register, support a participant or donate to a charity of your choice.
