The Sleeping Beauty

As one of the world’s most iconic fairy tales, The Sleeping Beauty has a long history of marvellous stage adaptations. The most known version is Peter Tchaikovsky’s ballet, which incorporates fantastical elements with stunning set design and costumes, gorgeous musical arrangements and dance.

QPAC is hosting the Ballet Theatre of Queensland as they put on a production of The Sleeping Beauty from January 14 to 17. These performances will show off the talents of the company’s young dancers, aged between 10 and 17 years. Two alternate casts will split the six-performance season, giving more young dancers the chance to experience the thrill of performing on a grand stage.

The Sleeping Beauty at QPAC has been choreographed by Timothy Brown, with set design by Rozina Suliman and costume design by Carmel Wenck.
