The Seagull

The Seagull

Considered Anthon Chekhov’s first major play, The Seagull follows the romance and artistic conflicts between four characters: once-celebrated actress Irina and her playwright son Kostantin, popular story writer Boris and the endearingly innocent girl-next-door Nina.

A slice-of-life drama set in the Russian countryside at the end of the 19th century, The Seagull is a humorous but bitter satire about desire, satisfaction and the search for happiness.
