The pirates are back to celebrate QPAC’s 30th anniversary in 2015 as Harvest Rain presents an all-new production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s beloved classic, The Pirates of Penzance, with Simon Gallaher in the director’s chair. Australian TV personality Andrew O’Keefe will take on the iconic role of the Pirate King and will be joined by Gold Logie Award-winning actor John Wood as Major-General Stanley and musical theatre legend Nancye Hayes as Ruth.

Thirty years ago when The Pirates of Penzance opened QPAC, the show starred a young Simon Gallaher as Frederic and a then-unknown Marina Prior as Mabel – this time around Frederic will be played by Billy Bourchier and Mabel will be played by Georgina Hopson. This updated production of the beloved musical comedy is sure to offer a hilarious night at the theatre.
