“We can dance if we want to” and you’d be right in assuming that’s exactly what we are going to do this weekend! On Saturday April 2, The People’s Dance Party is grooving, sliding and busting into Metro Arts for an immersive dance experience like no other.

Running since 2019, The People’s Dance Party unites a bounty of professional dance artists and community performers from across Meanjin’s incredibly rich and resilient dance communities.

Whether you’re a bedroom dancing queen or a prima ballerina, this event will have you dancing like there’s no tomorrow. There will be pop-up dance performances from a range of Bring A Plate’s favourite artists, you can learn some stellar dance moves or just celebrate diverse bodies, identities and movements.
