The height of a mountain, the width of a valley explores ways in which different perceptions of place can be conveyed through collaborative contemporary practice. Following a group residency in rural NSW, Brisbane artists Bridie Gillman, Sarah Poulgrain and Kylie Spear have used the signifying potential of found materials and the experiential qualities of time-based media to elicit competing experiences of awkwardness and familiarity in the landscape.
