It’s always summer in sunny Brewsvegas. Sometimes, it’s even more summer than usual. But in recent times the hot Brisbane summer has come to herald more than long days filled with road trips up and down the coast, or backyard cricket under the sprinkler, or humid nights accompanied by an ever present chorus of pedestal fans on high. Summer is for building up an epic thirst for the epic celebration of all things beautiful beer, Brewsvegas.

Being held from the 11th to the 20th of March 2016, with the festival in its third year we’re inspired by and in awe of the creativity and passion of the venues and breweries responsible for the upcoming program. There’s so much to do and get involved in that we know you’re going to need some time to make a plan over a beer or two. This year we thought we’d best start the official countdown to Brewsvegas 2016 in style, and what could be more fitting for the program launch than a Pool Party. Yep. Pool Party.

On Saturday the 30th of January we’ll descend upon Ithaca Pool on Caxton Street, Paddington, clad in snorkels, flippers and inflatable swans and armed with pool noodles and oodles of Brewsvegas 2016 Programs. Not only will this be the first chance to check out this year’s program, it will also be the launch of the official Brewsvegas Brew for 2016 by local legends Fortitude Brewing Co.

The event runs from 6pm-9pm with entertainment from local surf rock band The Wet Fish, delicious bites from the Juan More Taco food truck and plenty of Brewsvegas Beer to keep you refreshed. $10 gets you entry, a Brewsvegas Beer, a Brewsvegas 2016 program and a sticker.

The program will be live online from Sunday the 31st of January for those who can’t make it to the launch, and the official Brewsvegas Brew will be available at good bottle stores and participating venues throughout February and March. Keep an eye on the website and Facebook for further info.
