The Gap Farmers’ Winter Twilight Market

The fortnightly Gap Farmer’s Market is a must do event on the market calendar but its seasonal twilight market is certainly something extra special. The Gap Farmers’ Winter Twilight Market starts later and extends into the magical light of dusk, that brings with it a festival atmosphere.

This Twilight Market will see more than 100 stalls all fulfilling the make it or grow it philosophy including farmers, fruit and vegetables, primary producers and artisans as well community groups like the Girl Guides. There will be five bands across two stages with DJ John Mc Kenzie filling the gaps in-between to keep the festival vibe going all afternoon and into the evening. At the market entry Matt James will be playing his electronic didgeridoo throughout the day. The main stage will feature the album launch of The Goldhearts, funk jazz rock fusion from the Ravi Welsh Trio, Betty Smokes and the Forgetaboudits and some soul by Andy and Lester. There will also be a Projection Installation by Andrew Gibbs from Human, a not-for-profit organisation aimed at helping underprivileged youth think creatively. On top of all that there will be horse and pony rides, face painting and glowing flower crowns for the kids.

These guys surely know how to take an empty field and turn it into a spectacular market event!
