The Churchie National Emerging Art Prize
Now in its twenty-eighth year the The Churchie National Emerging Art Prize is a highly regarded emerging art award dedicated to innovation and excellence across contemporary, traditional and new media genres.
Thirty three emerging artists have been selected as finalists for the The Churchie National Emerging Art Prize 2015. From a record number of over 900 artworks, received from across Australia, 38 artworks will be profiled in the highly anticipated exhibition presented at Griffith University Art Gallery.
The judging will be undertaken by Rachel Kent (Chief Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney). The winner receives a non-acquisitive cash prize of $15,000, sponsored by Brand + Slater Architects.
The opening night and prize announcement will take place on Friday July 31 from 6:00–8:00 pm, with the exhibition continuing until Saturday August 29.
