Local artist Thom Stuart will showcase a body of new works in ‘The Blightside’ a solo exhibition at the Square and Friends Gallery. Drawing heavily on his own experiences surrounded by both natural and urban environments, this collection of quiet observations deals with the urban environment and the debris that interrupts this space as a counterpoint to the idyllic notion of the landscape image. Thom is a Queensland based painter and printmaker, who has previously showcased his alluring pieces at the ‘I Use to Skate Once’ 2012 – 2015 exhibitions and galleries including Love Love Studios and Bleeding Hearts Gallery.

You are invited to celebrate these unique works on the Opening Night, Friday July 17 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The Blightside will be showing from Friday July 17 to Wednesday August 12.
