Sustainable living: Nature journalling

Sustainable living: Nature journalling

Take some time out in nature and be inspired by the calming practice of nature journalling. Join a short stroll in and learn the basics, slow down, engage your senses, and take the time to observe and record what you see, hear, and feel. Nature journalling can be a wonderful form of meditative expression.

Bring your own art materials: unlined A4 sketchpad/notebook, HB and 2B pencils, and any other materials you’d like to use. You might also like to bring a stool, cushion, or picnic blanket to sit comfortably outdoors. After the workshop, feel free to visit the environment centre or remain in the forest to continue with your project.

Requirements: Bring your own art materials. All children must 6 years or older and accompanied by an adult. Wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure, fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site. Note: outdoor activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day. Please arrive ten minutes early.
