Sunday Gourmet Markets Launch
A brand-new food market will be launching in Chermside on Sunday April 26, offering northside locals the chance to browse gourmet goodies, meet local food producers and even nab a few cooking tips from Sydney chef Hayden Quinn. The 2011 MasterChef contestant will be cooking up two dishes from his new book Dish It Up and inviting viewers to sample his creations afterwards. Hayden will be whipping up a glazed salmon salad and Maderas fish tacos in three different cooking sessions from 8:30–9:30 am, 10:00–11:00 am and 11:30–12:30 pm. Browse stalls like Logan Olive Farm, Green Valley Limes, The Bakeologists, Bonobo Nuts, Fudge Forever, Jim’s Jerky, Kurtosh Cakes and plenty more, as well as ready-to-eat nourishment from the German Sausage Hut, Der Deutsche, Cupcake Patisserie and Stellarossa Coffee. The Sunday Gourmet Markets will be held in the NAB car park at Westfield Chermside every second and fourth Sunday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
