Storytime in the Reading Nook
Get ready for more fortnightly stories and craft in the Reading nook! Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, community leaders and Elders will host a session every two weeks to share a book from the library shelves, while also engaging youngsters in story time through sharing tales passed down through the generations. These free sessions are suitable for children aged 2 – 10 years old. Following story time, youngsters are invited to participate in craft time, which provides kids with an opportunity to create a story book, make a collage character or simply colour a kuril. Bookings are not required, contact the State Library of Queensland for further details.
