St. Patrick’s Day Parade

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

On of the world’s most celebrated cultural holidays is St. Patrick’s Day. This long-standing event brings together disparate corners of Brisbane’s community to celebrate Irish culture in all its forms. The day is more than dressing in green and having a drink or two – the cultural celebration will also include many fantastic festivities across the city, the biggest of which is the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

There will be fun for the whole family with more than 700 participants and 40 floats right in the centre of Brisbane City. This year the parade has a new route, starting and ending outside the Botanic Gardens on the corner of Alice and Albert Streets. All are welcome to come and enjoy the ‘craic’. Bring the family along and celebrate Irish culture with the rest of the city, or bring some friends and join the merriment yourselves.
