SPRUKE – Brisbane's Ukulele Festival

SPRUKE – Brisbane’s Ukulele Festival

Uke’n make music all weekend at SPRUKE – Brisbane’s Ukulele Festival to be held at South Bank TAFE campus. International ukulele acts, virtuoso Kyas Ryo (Japan) and the Alaskan wild man Ukulele Russ will join homegrown artists Tyrone and Lesley, and The Pockets as the headliners for SPRUKE. Returning is special guest and festival favourite Canadian ukulele bluesman Manitoba Hal Brolund.

All the headline acts will perform at the opening concert Spruketacular on Friday night and continue to inspire and educate at workshops and events over the weekend. Ukulele artists and performing groups from all around Australia will round out the festival program of concerts, jams and open mics all weekend.

Entry is FREE. Join the music-making fun as you’re entertained by free live performances across three stages over the whole weekend. Join a jam or perform at an open mic. Check out the market with everything a ukulele enthusiast could want. Relax in the spring sunshine over great food and coffee. Tickets for the concerts and workshops are available on the website.

From eight to 80, novice to virtuoso — Uke ’n make music at SPRUKE Festival.
