Spanish Baroque: Brandenburg and Circa
Spanish Baroque will take you into the fiery depths of intense emotion.
Passion and power.
Love and hope.
Loss and sacrifice.
After a sell-out and Helpmann Award-winning collaboration in 2015, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and contemporary circus troupe Circa reunite for a fearless fusion of contemporary circus and baroque music.
Spanish Baroque has been created by artistic directors Paul Dyer and Yaron Lifschitz and they promise passion, power and virtuosity.
The musical core of the show is a feisty pasticcio created by Paul Dyer inspired by the Brandenburg’s ARIA Award-winning CD Tapas, lots of percussion, guitar and theorbo, and lashings of violin bravado, with music by Albéniz, Merula, Murcia, Martinez and more.
WIN: The Weekend Edition is giving you the chance to win one of two A-reserve double passes to Spanish Baroque: Brandenburg and Circa’s one and only Brisbane performance on Tuesday May 16 at 7:30 pm at QPAC. Enter here for your chance to win.
