Soul of Flowers will showcase a series of soul-touching photo artworks by Ukrainian Artist Iryna Beketova, from Mariupol, the city that has become the synonym for the invincible spirit of the Ukrainian nation in the fight against the merciless Russian forces.

Iryna’s artworks capture flowers at their peak of beauty through a magical mix of macro photography and watercolours. They remind us that life, just like flowers, has the power to regenerate despite destruction and death. Life is unstoppable, and so are flowers.

Iryna’s works have been able to raise funds to support a team of volunteers in Ukraine. This team, that Iryna herself is a part of, has saved about 500 people since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February this year. Now Brisbane will see Iryna’s works at the Soul of Flowers event held at the Parliament House in Brisbane.

Anyone who would like to support is invited to join this charity event and can expect a night of art, movie, storytelling, music, prizes, drinks, and traditional Ukrainian food.

All the proceeds will be donated to the volunteers in Ukraine who risk their lives rescuing civilians from the war zones. Funds will be distributed via the Ukrainian Community of Queensland and the Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
