In their exhibition Simple Treasures, Coochie Art Group members remind us of the simple treasures of life; those moments of beauty that lift our hearts and our spirits away from our worries. As French philosopher Pascal reminds us, ‘keep something beautiful deep inside to overcome the bleakness’.

Here in the Redlands Coast, surrounded by great natural beauty and wildlife, Coochie Art Group members have explored their own special relationships with the small treasures of their lives; grandchildren, families, those rare glimpses of our treasured wildlife, gardens, the perfect cuppa to start the day, coffee and chocolate with friends and the thrill of the first brushstroke over paper at the start of a new painting.
