Shakespeare actor workshop – Romeo & Juliet

Shakespeare actor workshop – Romeo & Juliet

We know what we are, but know not what we may be" (Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 3).

The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble are bringing mischief and magic to the botanic gardens with their youth workshops. Whether it’s a cheeky fairy in the forest of Athens, or a mysterious witch with her bubbling cauldron, we want to encourage kids to play with Shakespeare in every sense of the word.

Core ensemble actors from the company will lead three 60-minute workshops for kids aged 7-16, exploring the greatest depths of their imagination with the help of the Bard himself (no previous Shakespeare knowledge needed!) Participants will learn how to interpret plays, embody characters, and experience just how much fun acting Shakespeare can be!

Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult.

Location: Meet at the Bandstand Lawn.
