Seafood Spectacular on Straddie
The annual Seafood Spectacular will showcase fresh local seafood and good old fashioned hospitality at North Stradbroke Island’s Little Ship Club on Saturday January 20.
The Seafood Spectacular is the biggest foodie event in the region with more than 500 people expected to attend over the course of the day.
Guests will indulge in fresh local seafood on the lawn with family and friends, while enjoying the fresh sea breeze overlooking the picturesque waters of Moreton Bay – what better way to enjoy an Aussie summer day.
Entertainment will include live music by the very popular MJayz as well as the classic mud crab races which are always a family favourite.
Chefs will prepare fresh prawns from the trawler, oysters and fresh crabs from Straddie, calamari, bugs and fish all sourced from the local area for hundreds of guests to feast on.
The Seafood Spectacular is the Club’s main fundraiser event with money this year going to towards repairing the main pontoon, as the pontoons are one of the most prized aspects of the Club for members and visitors.
The Seafood Spectacular supports local businesses by buying local where possible, including beers from Straddie Brewery.
The Little Ship Club is a family-friendly venue with a modern Australia restaurant, casual bar, BBQ facilities, private pontoons, live entertainment and an expansive lawn overlooking the bay with spectacular sunsets.
