Sculptures on the Wharf
Hamilton’s buzzing riverside precinct, Portside Wharf will receive some exciting additions in the form of 36 eye-catching sculptures this September.
Sculptures on the Wharf gives you the opportunity to wander through a maze of unique creations made by some of Queensland’s most celebrated sculptors, including the likes of multi-media sculptor, Perry Wagner-Grouse and indigenous artist, Colleen Lavender. From a giant ‘unicorn seashell’ to a full-size Morris Minor car, the awe-inspiring sculptures dotted along the waterfront will impress the art enthusiasts and anyone else who may be looking for a fun activity to do on a date night or family day out.
To complement the exhibition, you have the option to dine at one of Portside Wharf’s award-winning restaurants, sip some cocktails along the waterfront or grab a quick bit before catching a movie. ‘Sculptures on the Wharf’ will run from September 17 to November 30, with an indoor display open on Saturdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
