Sandcliffe Writers Festival 2016 – A sense of place: Panel discussion


Join authors Hugh Lunn, Shelley Davidow and Samuel Wagan Watson as they give their own unique perspective on a sense of place. The audience will have an opportunity for questions after the presentation.

Hugh Lunn, Walkley award winning journalist and newspaper editor is the author of a number of autobiographical books including Over the Top with Jim, Lost for Words, Words fail me, The Great Fletch and Vietnam, a Reporter’s War.

Shelley Davidow’s biographical memoir Whisperings in the Blood (UQP 2016) is based on a box of handwritten letters from her grandmother, dating back to the 1930’s. It follows 5 generations of immigrant Ashkenazi Jews and their long journey to find home.

Samuel Wagan Watson is one of Australia’s most important poetic and Indigenous voices. He’s won numerous awards including The David Unaipon Award and The Qld. Premier’s Literary Award. Samuel’s latest book is Love Poems and Death Threats.
