Sam Simmons – Brisbane Comedy Festival 2016

Sam Simmons – Brisbane Comedy Festival 2016

From the brain that brought you millionaire cats eating Viennetta and nanna wanks, comes a brand spanking new hour of mind blending internal self-hatred, paranoia and comedy, because you have to put comedy in it. Be prepared for a whole lot of laugh-out-loud moments when Sam Simmons hits the Brisbane’s Comedy Festival from Tuesday March 15 to Sunday March 20.

Absurd, quirky, original, weird, dickhead…award-winning comedian Sam Simmons is back, but not for long because after his epic 2015, which saw him walk away with the two biggest awards in live comedy, Sam is in high demand across the international stage. Not content with just winning the prestigious Barry Award for Best Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, he then went on to win comedy’s most coveted prize – the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award.  As a result, his season at London’s Soho Theatre sold so well that they added an entire new season. He has also moved from LA to London and is spread thin, writing for TV and appearing on UK shows such as 8 out of 10 Cats and Room 101.

Now Sam is returning down under, but only for a nanosecond, to premiere his brand new show! Don’t miss your chance to see his new comedy offering in Brisbane for one week only.

Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse and The Comedy Channel. Starring dozens of international and Australian comedians, Brisbane Comedy Festival is a must-see if you need a giggle, chuckle, cackle or rip-snorter of a good time. Brisbane Comedy Festival goes on sale to the public 10:00 am Tuesday December 1.
