Salvage: Recycling Art Exhibition
Be inspired by local contemporary art created from second-hand shop treasures and reused everyday materials on display at Salvage, Brisbane City Council’s Recycling Art Exhibition.
The exhibition explores the creative potential of reusing and recycling household items and furniture, with an aim to inspire people to see the possibility in things that may have been thrown away. Artists found their materials in Council’s tip shops and other second-hand stores.
Salvage is open from July 7 to August 19 (excluding Sundays) at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art and features nine artworks by Recycling Art Competition finalists, Salvage Saturday events, exclusive videos, free exhibition tours, meet the artists sessions and more.
Vote for your favourite artwork by 10 August 2017, either online or in person at the exhibition. You decide which top three artists win a share of the $5000 prize money.
