Rosewater: Oxfam Advance Benefit Screening

Rosewater: Oxfam Advance Benefit Screening

The Queensland Committee for Oxfam Australia is very excited to invite you and your guests to join us for an exclusive advance benefit screening of the film Rosewater, 6:00 pm at Palace Centro on James Street, New Farm on Tuesday, February 17. The ticket price of $25 ($18 concession or $30 additional donation) includes a champagne (or juice), film entry, raffle ticket and a donation to Oxfam Australia.

Rosewater is the directorial debut by popular American satirist Jon Stewart of The Daily Show. Based on The New York Times best-selling memoir Then They Came for Me: A Family’s Story of Love, Captivity, and Survival, the film tells of the harrowing events surrounding the wrongful arrest, interrogation, torture and eventual release of 42 year old broadcast journalist Maziar Bahari. The film starring Gael García Bernal (Motorcycle Diaries & Amores Perros) tackles timely issues of press freedom, freedom of expression and human rights.

All are welcome so please feel free to share the attached poster with your friends and family.

Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite until 5pm Monday 16 February.

Your support of this event is greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing you at the movies!
