Robotronica at QUT Gardens Point

Robotronica at QUT Gardens Point

Forget robots from the future, robotics have well and truly infiltrated the modern world as we know it. If you’re keen to find out exactly how, then come along to Robotronica, QUT’s free all-day, all-ages robotics and technology festival on Sunday August 18.

Held at the Garden’s Point campus, Robotronica will reveal the latest advancements and innovations in the fields of robotics and interactive design, replete with live demonstrations, games and discussions. Prepare to be informed, inspired and amazed!

And what would a day dedicated to automatons be without the crowd favourite, a robot battle. Robowars: Rebellion will be on hand to deliver a gladiator-style tournament for the ultimate robot showdown. There will be a range of talks and presentations, including distinguished Professor Peter Corke’s discussion of robots past, present and future, plus a seminar to find out what driverless cars have in store for Queensland. The Cube’s new interactive game Robot Factory will also feature, as will groundbreaking works by leading international robotic artist Louis-Philippe Demers.

Robotronica is a free event running all day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
