Rio Rhythmics Carnaval Parade and Party

Rio Rhythmics Carnaval Parade and Party

Embrace the summer vibe and take to the streets to celebrate Brazilian Carnaval at this family friendly, free event right here in Brisbane’s West End.

Sponsored by BEMAC and The Motor Room and support from The West End Community Association, this year’s event is bigger than ever before.

Start your afternoon with friends for a FREE Forró lesson and live music. Get the evening started with performances by Xango Capoeira and the Rio Rhythmics Samba team.

If you want to be part of the parade, why not join our COMMUNITY Brazilian Samba Workshops to get the basics and be fitted for costume.

At 7:30pm the Bateria (drummers) will call you to action and lead you down Boundary St, stopping traffic and making friends along the way.

But your night doesn’t have to stop there. The party continues at The Motor Room until 10pm with live music, then join us for social dancing in the Rio Rhythmics Studio, upstairs at 163 Boundary St, West End – where we party till 12:30am.
