Reel Fashion: The Great Gatsby
Long before Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan played the lead roles in Baz Luhrmann’s luscious production, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby was initially adapted for the big screen in 1974 and boasted the stylish talents of Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. The tale of the mysterious Jay Gatsby and his world of extravagant parties and secrecy came to life in breathtaking fashion, with the film winning an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the exquisite 1920s attire. The Great Gatsby will be screening as part of Reel Fashion, a collection of fashion films each Friday night at 7:00 pm at Palace Centro. Tickets are $10 General Admission and $8 for Movie Club Members.
