Winning an Academy Award for Best Costume Design (Orry-Kelly), An American In Paris blends the art of dance and fashion together perfectly. Set in Paris at the end of World War II, Jerry Mulligan (Gene Kelly) is an exuberant American expatriate trying to make her way as a painter in Paris. Jerry soon finds out that making new friends doesn’t come without drama when in the city of love.
