Brisbane’s favourite BYO festival and infamous weekend sleepover party, Red Deer Music & Arts Festival, is returning for its seventh year in October 2017. The iconic ‘BYO booze ‘n couch’ festival will deliver a memorable day and night of astronomical entertainment at the Mount Samson amphitheater, as part of the festival’s 2017 Space Oddity theme.

This year’s ‘space mission’ will be captained by Sydney rockers The Preatures and Brisbane alt-electronic whiz The Kite String Tangle, along with a plethora of artists across several genres, including surf quartet Band of Frequencies, alt-rock groovers Shag Rock, neo-roots trio The COOL CALM, and dirty-dance duo Mezko.

Folk songstress Leanne Tennant, acoustic young gun Josh Mcnz, Brisbane quintet Fire and Whistle Theory, dream-pop songwriter Tiarne, eclectic soul singer Natalie Welch, and the three Red Deer Residence artists round out the first of two line-up announcements for the 2017 festival.
