Recording Significant Trees Workshop

Recording Significant Trees Workshop

Ever wondered how to measure a tree? What about learning how to nominate that special tree to the Trust’s Significant Tree Register? Using the magnificent Ficus at Wolston Farmhouse, you will be trained on how to record those vital measurements and how to put together a nomination to the Significant Tree Register.

At this National Trust workshop, attendees will be introduced to the qualities that can give significance to a tree, be they scientific, social, aesthetic or historic. In the course of the workshop, attendees will use tree measuring equipment to obtain the vital statistics of Wolston’s significant trees, before an information session regarding the general requirements for nomination of trees to the National Trust’s Register of Significant Trees.

The workshop will run for three to four hours and includes a break for morning tea. This is a ticketed event – registration is essential.
